Today we welcomed Julie Lasater into our running group and had a great run over the Richland Bridge into Pasco! Great job friends!! We also had an incredible devotion on ‘Fellowship’ by Cari Mitchell and it was very encouraging!! Here is the summary:
Cari Mitchell did an excellent devotion on ‘Fellowship’ and what it means between believers and between believers & Christ. She referenced Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 and encouraged us to turn to our sisters in Christ and share our hearts & petitions to God with them; as the body of Christ we are put on this earth for each other. She also shared that God is always faithful to the promise found in Matthew 18:20 (where 2 or 3 are gathered, He is with us). We were also challenged to be careful with becoming unequally yoked with unbelieving friends (2 Corinthians 6:14) and that we should monitor those friendships to make sure that we are trying to plant seeds for Christ; as we are simply one beggar telling another beggar where to find Jesus Christ. And finally Colossians 3:15 was referenced as was 1 John 1:6-7, and we were encouraged to let the Word of Christ dwell in us as God’s Word is Alive. Therefore, we cannot truly have fellowship with Christ, nor our sisters in Christ if we are walking in the dark.
